Not on the Anker 3. There are four pulleys, two are high and the other two are lower. Using one pulley at a time will be a 1:2 ratio, and using two pulleys the resistance will go to a 1:1 ratio.
No, the Anker 3 can be mounted to many different surfaces including metal studs and concrete. It comes with the hardware to only mount to wooden studs. Other surfaces you would need to source proper mounting hardware.
The single weight stack allows us to have the lowest profiled cable trainer on the market. The unique pulley positions allow the single weight stack to accommodate a 1:1 ratio for your compound movements like lat pulldowns, flyes and rows. It is just wide enough to make flyes and pull ups comfortable no matter your height.
This is an optional attachment, and can support up to 300lbs of active weight.
Yes, the bracket will mount about 6 inches up from the floor. If the lip is larger it is possible to mount over it and the Ankers bottom frame will be higher off of the floor.
Yes, there is enough space to utilize a weight bench and expand on exercises that can be performed!
Reviews
I decided to mount this behind my power rack... The way I have it set up, it is now a fully configurable functional trainer, with a center mount, 1-to-1 lat pulldown.
It's a little complicated to describe (the attached photo might help) but basically I extended the bottom anchor points with a couple cables and pulleys. Those typically mount directly above my seating position, so I can combine them with a lat pulldown bar and get a 1-to-1 pulldown.
But those overhead mounting points use adjustable shackles, so I can just as easily mount them on my uprights to get a mid height mount. Or, I can throw on my safety arms sideways and mount to them to get a very wide mount for flys.
It's incredibly versatile, and the excellent quality of the base trainer makes it all so smooth.
I set it up this way primarily because I assembled my gym piecemeal... if I were to try for something like this out of the gate, I'd probably go for one of the prepared solutions. But honestly, I don't feel like I'm missing out with the way I have it, and it really is a bit more versatile (at the expense of longer setup time)
I bought a couple 3rd party pulleys with a couple shackles and some extra cable, and I turned
I’ve had this anker 3 for a year now in my garage which has no heat or a/c, and it still looks and functions like new. I sectioned off a 10 x 8 ft corner of my garage for the gym, but still wanted a rack and cable machine, and still wanted floor space for dumbbell and conditioning exercises, and I sometimes need the storage space. The anker 3 was really my only option and I couldn’t be happier with it. Works as smooth as commercial trainers I have used, takes up almost no space. I worried about not being able to move the attachment points, but that has honestly never bothered me once since I’ve had it. I realized I almost always use the high or low attachment at the gym. This adds exercises I wouldn’t otherwise be able to do, high and low rows, face pulls, chest flies, lat and tricep press downs, I even do leg extensions with ankle attachments on a metal plyo box. I added several attachments/handles which makes it more enjoyable. It’s my favorite piece of equipment. Now, if I had a little more wall space, that anker 7 looks pretty good, but wasn’t available when I bought this. I also really like the z4 rubber Olympic grip plates I got from Torque.
You can get the same results as a cable machine at the gym , smooth action very compacted for small work out room for home. WOuld highly recommend, easy to put together
Hi Fred! We appreciate your awesome feedback on our Anker 3 cable functional trainer more than we can express! Thank you for your business and for taking the time to leave us this amazing review and feedback!
Customer service was very helpful in scheduling delivery to accommodate our delivery needs. The product arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I've been using the Anker 3 for the past week and am very satisfied. Good quality and definitely happy with this purchase. For any future exercise equipment needs, I will look at Torque first.
We are grateful for you and your business Daniel! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this Anker 3 review and for the kind words. We appreciate your feedback on our products, we are always more than happy to go above and beyond for the satisfaction of our customers! Don't Quit. Ever.
If they had a connector for the two attachment points it would be perfect. Super smooth, relatively simple set up, and very easy to use.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are happy that we could provide you with a product you felt gave you a 5-star experience Greg!
The machine definitely lives up to the name. It's a TANK! Love it!
TANK® Weight Horn Kit for M4/MX
These added weights are very nicely made and the magnets are quite strong. They do the job for sure!
TANK® M1 Push Sled
While I haven’t been able to use as much as I would’ve like yet, and I have a lot to learn about the techniques using a cable training (finding the right height positions for certain lifts for my body I mean), the machine is SOLID! Definitely not your typical online quality these days, much better. Motions are extremely smooth and I’m honestly shocked at how well the latches hold position when adjusting the pulleys with almost no “wiggle” in the components when lifting. Very versatile, too! I have some other dumbbells, but honestly don’t need to use them much anymore with this. Nice work Torque! I’ll be back for more something later! :)
Love the Tank M1- takes my training to new amazing level. It’s a game changer for our gym- thank you!
Ultimate home gym solution for the functional athlete that works out before sun-up. It’s quiet—no scraping concrete at 4 AM and waking my family or angering my neighbors. It leaves no marks—no repairing my driveway. It’s got unlimited weight potential—the resistance gets harder the faster I push/pull. It’s incredibly easy to maintain—just top off the tires and oil the chain once a month. It’s simple to store—it folds up and you can hang it on the wall.
I’ve been beating this thing up four days a week for the last two months, and it’s working and looking like new. I’ve had the privilege of using and owning some awesome equipment, and this is by far one of my top 3 items. #1 is the Tank M4 (big brother to this beautiful product), #2 is this beautiful product, and #3 is the Echo Bike. If you’re thinking of buying it, just pull the trigger—you won’t regret it!
I'm a chiropractor, and I got the Tank for both my patients, but also myself. I have been using the M1 Tank for 20 days. I use it every day. My hip, knee and big toe have less pain than anything I've tried in years. My whole posterior chain is getting stronger. My VMO is getting stronger. 100% satisfied.
Excellent Fitness Product
Purchased the complete M1 Complete Package for storage reasons and to get all the extras. This thing is awesome!! So much variation added to my daily routine and using sled variation for warmup + cardio. Assembly was a breeze, definitely confirm tire air pressure as mine came in @15 lbs psi. Quick pump with an air compressor and back in business.
I am so happy with this combo package! The instructions were easy to understand; a big plus! The equipment has so many uses, it's literally an entire gym in my garage! Love it
Because I have limited space, I like that these spotter arms are removable. When they are not mounted on the squat rack, I can create extra room for other exercises. Plus I also like their length; it makes me fee safer when squatting.
I chose this rack because I have a very limited space to use it, and it fits just right without compromising functionality or safety. The construction is solid.
Awesome product and great service.
Amazing piece of machinery. Gives me one of the best workouts ever.
