Marketing Operations Coordinator

Marketing Operations Coordinator

Torque Fitness | Coon Rapids, MN | $65,000

About Torque

At Torque Fitness, we build equipment for people who refuse to quit. Since 2005, we've designed and engineered premium fitness equipment in Coon Rapids, MN — including the TANK, the only patented magnetic resistance push sled on the market. Our equipment lives in the country's top gym chains, in performance training centers, and in home gyms across the world.

About the Role

We're hiring a Marketing Operations Coordinator to be the operational backbone of a fast-moving marketing team during one of the biggest years in Torque's history. You'll own the logistics that make our trade shows, install photography, brand assets, and education programs run cleanly — freeing our designers, photographers, and strategists to focus on the work only they can do. You'll also work in an environment where AI tools are part of the daily workflow — we expect everyone on the marketing team to use Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools to move faster and free up time for higher-value work.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing Operations and works closely with the full marketing team: design, social, photo/video, performance, and website. You'll touch nearly every part of how Torque shows up in the world.

What You'll Own

  • Trade shows & large-scale events. Lead coordination for HFA, FIBO, and other major industry shows — booth logistics, shipping, swag prep, lead capture setup, and on-site execution. Travel required (up to 5 trips per year, including international).
  • Small show events. Coordinate commercial, consumer, and international events of all sizes, from regional fitness expos to dealer trainings.
  • Apparel & commercial swag boxes. Manage Torque-branded apparel inventory, customer and partner swag programs, and commercial account gift boxes.
  • Install photography coordination. Schedule install shoots, brief photographers, manage logistics with commercial customers, and hand off deliverables into Asana for the creative team.
  • The Vault (digital asset management). Own upload, tagging, removal, and user admittance for Torque's brand asset library. Keep it organized and accessible.
  • NASM certification & education programs. Coordinate NASM certification renewals, the TANK Education Course rollout, and Torque Performance Center programming logistics.
  • Team assistance on other projects. Support the team on other areas of the marketing function. Gain experience in other areas such as email, social, influencer, affiliate, and more.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing coordination, events, brand operations, or a related role
  • Genuinely organized — you keep multiple projects moving without dropping details
  • Strong written communication; comfortable briefing vendors, photographers, and cross-functional teammates
  • Comfortable with occasional travel and the long days that come with trade shows
  • Proficient in Asana (or able to learn fast)
  • A bias for action and a sense of ownership over outcomes, not just tasks
  • Actively uses AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) in daily work — for drafting, research, organizing information, and reducing busywork. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to be curious and willing to build it into how you operate.
  • Flexibility: candidate must be willing to flex into other functions as needed. Be ready to jump in to email, social, influencer, and affiliate, etc. to support the team at large when needed.

Bonus Points

  • Trade show or large-event coordination experience
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, or DAM platforms
  • Background in fitness, athletics, sporting goods, or a comparable premium consumer brand
  • Photography or video production coordination experience

Why Torque

You'll join a team scaling quickly. You'll work alongside a marketing team that includes a Director of Marketing Operations, Performance Marketing Manager, Social & Partnerships lead, Photo/Video lead, Designer, and Website/Graphic Designer. You'll report directly to a leader who is invested in your development and growth. Torque is actively investing in AI adoption across the company, with marketing leading the way. You'll have access to the tools, the training, and the freedom to build AI into how you work — not as a side project, but as a core part of the role.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $65,000 base salary
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days on-site at our Coon Rapids HQ, 1 set work-from-home day per week
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Employee discount on Torque equipment
