Behind the Build: MYON™
The engineering behind a more versatile home gym.
Every detail of the MYON was developed with a purpose. From its modular foundation to the integration of multiple training capabilities, MYON brings a new level of flexibility to the home gym. We asked the engineering team what went into bringing MYON to life. Here's what they had to say.
What was the main goal when you started developing MYON, and what did you want it to bring to the home gym market?
We wanted to bring free-weight, Smith machine, and cable training into one compact system without sacrificing functionality. By integrating all three into a shared footprint of roughly 75" x 69", MYON gives home gym owners more training versatility without needing multiple machines.
What was the biggest engineering challenge during the development of MYON?
Creating a system that could grow with the user while remaining stable at every stage. We engineered the half rack to support future cable and Smith upgrades from the start, with a stable, no-bolt base option that doesn't require anchoring to the floor.
How did you approach combining multiple training capabilities into one space-efficient design?
We designed every component to serve multiple purposes. From the 30 adjustable upright positions shared by the rack and cable system to integrated weight and accessory storage, every detail helps maximize functionality without adding unnecessary bulk.
Which engineering detail or feature are you most proud of, and why?
It's how everything works together. From the clean matte black finish and laser-cut numbering to the smooth Smith system that parks out of the way when not in use, every detail was designed to make MYON feel like one complete, cohesive training system.
One Foundation. More Possibilities.
The result of that engineering is a system designed to adapt to the way you train.
Every MYON starts with the same half rack foundation, giving you the freedom to build your setup around your goals. Choose traditional barbell training, add adjustable cable functionality, incorporate guided Smith movements, or bring all three together.
And as your training evolves, your MYON can evolve with it. Add new capabilities without starting over or replacing your rack.
