Torque Fitness Strengthens Sales Force with Team of Industry Pros

To support the growing domestic and international demand for its comprehensive functional training solutions, Torque Fitness has added a powerhouse group of industry veterans.

Joining Torque as director of sales for Asia Pacific, Scott Walton will continue to grow this booming region for the company. Formerly, he expanded key accounts in Asia Pacific for more than three years at Precor, Inc. Based in the Greater Jakarta region of India, Walton’s physical presence is a valuable asset in serving health clubs and distributors in this area.

Pete Lundstrom is Torque’s new vice president of North America sales. With a wealth of knowledge in management and growth of both dealer and direct sales channels, he previously served as director of commercial sales for 2nd Wind for nearly seven years. Lundstrom’s excellent managerial and process creation skills will help win new accounts and scale the business.

The new director of key accounts for Western North America is Chris Newland, who will increase direct sales channels in the region. A five-year veteran of Cybex International, Inc., Newland is based in Kansas City, Mo., and reports to Lundstrom.

Finally, Lee Hodges is Torque’s new director of key accounts for Eastern North America and Canada. With more than 10 years of industry sales experience, most recently at Akitv Solutions and previously at Johnson Health Tech, Lee works from Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and also reports to Lundstrom.

“With our excellent traction both domestically and internationally, we need the best people to accelerate that success and stimulate growth in key markets,” said Jerry Dettinger, CEO of Torque Fitness. “We look for a strong work ethic, a passion for the fitness industry and the drive to help our customers achieve success. We call this the ‘Don’t Quit. Ever.’ attitude, and are thrilled to have found that in Scott, Pete, Chris and Lee.”
